The Courtyard is the heart of Merriscourt—an inviting, atmospheric space that’s perfect for spring and autumn drinks receptions. Centred around our beautiful courtyard tree, it offers effortless access to every area of the venue, creating a natural flow throughout your day.
As the sun begins to set, we light the fire pit for every wedding, adding a warm and cosy glow no matter the season. Combined with the twinkling lights in the tree, it creates a magical backdrop for evening photos—including the ever-popular sparkler shot.
The Courtyard is also where confetti is traditionally thrown before your drinks reception begins (real petals only, please!).
