LET DINNER BE SERVED

The White Barn

Once you have had chance to get some couple portraits with your photographer, eaten some canapes and mingled with your guests, the Events Team will call everyone in for dinner in the White Barn. We believe that the most personal way to manage this is for one of your wedding party to take on this role - the right person will consider it an honour! Naturally, if you would prefer one of our staff to manage this on your behalf we will very happily do so.

The White Barn is large and bright, with soaring up-lit beams and lofty ceilings; the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast. It's white walls and subtle panelling creates the perfect blank canvas for any wedding vision, accommodating up to 120 guests - please speak to the Events Team for more information on table layouts.

All our menus are prepared & cooked in our kitchen by our Head Chef & his team and we are constantly developing new menus to keep them relevant & fresh. The team would also be more than happy to meet with you to create a bespoke menu if you so desire.

Please see our Food & Drink brochure for details on the packages we can provide here at Merriscourt.

When the time comes for the speeches to take place, this is the perfect space as it is fully equipped with our PA system and wireless microphones. Traditionally the order is: bride’s father/groom/ best man. However, it’s your day and you can have as many as you like! We would always recommend having your speeches after the meal as they can sometimes impact the quality of the food served if you over run. However, we will leave this decision with you as we know that if there are particularly nervous speakers it can ruin the meal for them if they have to wait.

Guests using The White Barn are able to access The Courtyard during the evening reception and it nestles next to The Stone Barn where the dancing and barn serve your evening guests.

A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever.
